Power Shots

1. NE Revolution- Let's hope last week was an aberration or the best team in this league is really
not that good.

2. Toronto FC- This team is doing what you must to be successful... Never losing at BMO and
taking the occasional point on the road. Plus I don't think this midfield has truly
got rolling yet.

3. Columbus Crew- This is a toss-up with the Galaxy and last weeks game proved that. Each
team controlled the match for 45 min. In the end the Crew showed more
bite by coming back twice to get a share of the points.

4. LA Galaxy- The offense is rolling, but this team still has no identity and if they do not find it in
the next two games it could be back to .500 for the "Total footballers except when
you can hit it over the top to Landon" Galaxy

5. DC United- They are proof that all you need to do to be successful in this league is threaten
to fire the coach and replace him with Bruce Arena. Oh and also call out your best
player from last year and most recent DP for not playing well.

6. Chicago Fire- Is it just me or has this team started their descent the same time the Brian McBride rumors surfaced... Strikers are already temperamental enough don't threaten
their jobs too. Okay Barrett couldn't score on a singles cruise.(If you don't know
what I mean and are single, just go on one... you will have a good time)

7.Real Salt Lake- Wait that must be a typo. Oh never mind the typo they really are at .500 and
have gone 3-0-2 in their last five. Oh and their new stadium is looking really
nice, but if I find out that American Idol 2nd place guy David Archuletta is
sing at the opening game they will drop below the Quake on principle alone.

8. Chivas USA- Nice win over Chicago and once this team is fully fit I expect a true return to
form with or with out Guzano, And especially if they add "Bofo" as all the
rumors are saying will happen.

9. NY Red Bulls- How they are still above .500 is any one's guess. JP Angel's injury issue and
Reyna being Reyna it is a testament to Osorio. We will see how long they last
minus Jozy now too.

10. Houston Dynamo- As DeRossario and Ching go so goes the Dynamo. The rest is just smoke
and mirrors.Who would have thought that scrubs like Ngwena and Jaqua
would really matter.

11. FC Dallas- Hyndmann was a great hire and it will take time to turn this team around, But I
wouldn't count them out just yet maybe in a couple weeks we will have more of
an idea if it will be this year or next.

12.Colorado Rapids- If this team doesn't learn to play through Christian Gomez soon they will be
out of the play-off race by early August. Still Ugo Ihemalu is a stud on the
back line.

13. KC Wizards- They are the proverbial close but no results. Three ties but no wins in the last
month. Hartman may make one good save a game but all-in-all he SUCKS!!!!!
And has for a few years now.

14. SJ Earthquakes- The only good news for the Quakes is that next year there will be another
expansion team in the league for then to beat up on.

Coyote Ugly

Have you ever woken up on a beautiful Sunday morning with a sinking feeling in your gut? Then you look around and realize the ugliest girl in the bar from last night is sleeping next to you. And you are left to wonder what happened to her hot girlfriend that had that little wiggle in her walk, that you were hitting on and it was going so good. Well that must be how David Beckham and the rest of the Galaxy players are feeling today.

After the game, Ruud Gullit tried to spin it in the glass is half full direction. "If I look back at the beginning of the season that normally we lost these games in the last minute," The coach says with a smirk on his face. "In a way we gave the goals away" Very astute coach. I can't help but wonder if that is what he told his team in the locker room. Personally I can think of a few more colorful words I would use to describe the meltdown.

Come to find out more bad news, which usually happens in these morning after situations, that Beckham took a little knock on the foot in training this week and was not at 100%. That comes as a relief because after last night I thought he was just washed up. Turns out to just be a bum wheel. As for that dreadful miss at the end of the match, Becks says "I'm disappointed not to finish the game off there. I felt personally the ground gave way" Really David "disappointed" is how you feel when you have a clear shot at goal and completely shank it into the Stadium Club restaurant. Well I guess I too am "disappointed".

Donovan and Buddle played well but each left at least one on the table. The midfield that controlled the tempo in the first half was badly out played in the second, with Alvaro Pires disappearing for long stretches of play.

The Galaxy have yet to conquer the elusive hot chick with the winning record and instead end up with the coyote ugly results. And we the fans are left to chew our arms off.

Galaxy Blow 2 Leads and Chance for Respect

Tonight the Los Angeles Galaxy went from a team on the way up to a to a bunch of dudes rolling down "Sand Dune Park" trying to cling to anything that would hold. And all this only took a mere 45 min, plus 3:39 of stoppage time. The dominant team that controlled the ball and produced the lion's share of the chances in the first 45, which included a Landon Donovan goal off a miss played ball by Columbus goalkeeper Will Hesmer in the fourth min, looked old on the right side and young and inconsistent everywhere else, with the exception of Donovan. Two blown chances to put the game away, first off the head of Edson Buddle and then a no excuses miss wide from Donovan, put the Crew in a good position going into halftime. Giving all the kudos to the Crew, who were not shaken by an early second half goal from Buddle, they continued to go forward like little boys in the field and eventually took advantage of Steve Cronin like a drunk co-ed. I think Cronin forgot to put the sticky stuff on his gloves or he is simply afraid to go into traffic and do whatever it takes to CATCH the freaking ball. To his defense (not that there is much of one in front of him... I blame Lalas for that) his defenders were much more content to look at rebounds than actually clear one from the box.

For a team that has been continually progressing as the season goes on I believe this is undoubtedly as step backward. And should be unacceptable not only to everyone in the organization but to everyone who pays good money to see this team play. We pay to see the highest level of soccer in this country and I hope to God this is NOT IT!!!
